Employers Continue Pressing Lawmakers to Beef Up PBM Bills

Prescryptive Health CEO, Chris Blackley, shares his perspective in Inside Health Policy on the multiple bills aimed at addressing the impact of pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs, on prescription drug costs, saying that transparency alone is not enough: “One of the most effective blockers to transparency and a more efficient marketplace, and therefore lower drug prices, is the practice by PBMs to give employers the claim level data for what they actually paid for drugs.” Read more in Inside Health Policy.
