PBMI Innovators: Raechele McMahan, SVP, Prescryptive
In the August 2026 issue of Managed Healthcare Executive, the publication featured six PBMI Innovators, including Raechele McMahan, Prescryptive’s SVP of Payer Solutions.
Awarded by the Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute, the recognition is intended to celebrate leaders who are implementing innovative programs and strategies that produce outcomes in the pharmacy benefits space.
Rae was recognized specifically for her long dedication to pharmacy, culminating in her role at Prescryptive, where she drives solutions for a shifting market that are focused on sustainable and affordable access for patients. As she puts it:
“At its heart, Prescryptive is a healthcare technology company… our technology provides the ability for clear, concise and transparent pricing and aims to help patients, beneficiaries and members to be able to access and afford their medication with an understanding of where they can get it.”
Rae went on to acknowledge the shifts in the pharmacy benefit industry in recent years, and the opportunity that abounds:
“The organizations that lead the next era will be those that connect manufacturers, payers, pharmacies and patients more directly, with incentives structured around access as a predictable outcome rather than a variable one,” she says. “The pharmacy benefits model that survives this period is not the one with the most sophisticated rebate optimization. It is the one that can demonstrate it is actually reducing cost and improving access for the people it serves. The market is now demanding that.”
